Temporary site licence permits access to iClicker at no cost to students until August 2026

What is happening? The University will proceed with the purchase of a temporary (one-year) site licence for iClicker that will make the tool available to students at no cost for the period from September 1, 2025, to August 31, 2026. Vevox also continues to be available on a temporary basis until April 30, 2026.

Both tools will continue to be assessed as we move towards a more streamlined experience. Ìý

Working towards a streamlined experience: With the support of deans and senior leadership, EdTech Governance members will be collaborating with faculty, staff, and students to define an EdTech strategy that will provide guidance on funding decisions for educational technologies going forward.ÌýThis strategy will include how to address duplication of these technologies across campus. Duplication increases costs, either for the institution or for students who are charged additional fees and is frequently mentioned by students as something that negatively impacts their educational experience. Ìý

More information on this collaboration will be shared in the fall.ÌýÌý
