Laura Scaife
Laura Scaife is a highly conscientious outreach educator and project coordinator with extensive experience working in diverse environments with persons of all ages, gender and culture. She is a workshop presenter for the non profit Scientists in School organization which extends science learning into the classroom and community by offering curriculum-based science workshops. Laura had the amazing opportunity as Interim Curator and Outreach coordinator for the Earth Science Museum at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ where she managed events, outreach programs, co-ordinated and delivered museum tours (children to seniors), created exhibits and prepared grant applications, business plans, budgets and proposals.Ìý Early in her career as a geologist, she was involved with geological property research and consultations world wide.Ìý Specific assignments included: Information Specialist of the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Mines technical library; establishing the Yemen Mineral Boards Geological Technical Library and; facilitating the Minister of Mines of Madagascar meetings with Canadian mining companies and exposition at the Prospectors and Developers annual convention in Toronto.
