W Store Essentials in MC closing for renovations

The W Store Essentials currently located on the second floor of the Mathematics & ComputerBuilding will be relocating to the third floor, according to a memo circulated by Director of Print + Retail Solutions Ryan Jacobs yesterday. To prepare for this move, the second-floor location will close on May 31, 2019.

“Renovations are required to the third-floor space, which will take approximately eight months to complete,” writes Jacobs. “During this time, staff will be relocated to other W Store Essentials or W Print locations starting June 1. In addition, the W Store Essentials located in the ݮƵ Centre will be undergoing renovations as well as part of our master space plans.”

The temporary closure and renovation is resulting in several personnel relocations, including:

  • Paula Zahra will be moving to the W Store Essentials location in the Science Teaching Complex. She will continue to provide thesis binding from this location. She can be reached at extension 32334 or by email atpazahra@uwaterloo.ca.
  • Vecihe Arif will be moving to the W Print location in South Campus Hall. She can be reached at extension 32251 or by email atvarif@uwaterloo.ca.

“All other questions related to printing should be directed to Karen Ertel, Production Manager, at extension 36575 or by email atkaertel@uwaterloo.ca,” Jacobs writes.

Courseware will continue to be available for purchase in MC until May 31. For the fall 2019 term, all courseware will be available in the W Store | Course Materials + Supplies store located in South Campus Hall.

For questions regarding courseware, please contact Custom Publishing and Marketing Coordinator Madelaine Paterson at extension 33996 or by email atmadelaine.paterson@uwaterloo.ca.

“Our new location and renovations on the third floor of MC will allow us to serve students, faculty and staff from a centralized location next to other services in a high-traffic area,” writes Jacobs. “For more information on how this new location will benefit the Faculty of Mathematics, please contact Mona Skuterud, Executive Officer, Faculty of Mathematics at extension 32592 or by email atmona.skuterud@uwaterloo.ca.”

“We are excited about the upcoming move and appreciate your continued support throughout these changes,” Jacobs concludes. “Please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly with any questions regarding our plans.”
