The Hult Prize is the largest student social entrepreneurship competition in the world. Every year, the Hult organization challenges students to come up with entrepreneurial solutions for some of the most pressing social problems our world faces. Students from over 1000 universities globally are taking on this year’s challenge: to provide meaningful employment for 10,000 youth.

Change is afoot at Conrad.ÌýÌýIn early June, the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµâ€™s Board of Governors officially changed the Conrad Centre into theÌýConrad School of Entrepreneurship and Business.ÌýThis change reflects what Conrad has become and where it is going.ÌýÌýWe are eager to keep our community aware of what is changing, what is staying the same, and what to expect from the new Conrad School.

This month,ÌýEnterprise Co-opÌýstudents pitchedÌýfor five prizes of $5,000 at theÌýIgnition Week pitch competition.ÌýEach competing student had five minutes to pitch their venture to a panel of judges, followed by a three-minute question period.ÌýMeet the Spring 2018 pitchÌýwinners!

À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ Hult Teams have travelled to Quito, Melbourne and Toronto to compete in Hult Prize 2018 Regional competitions. Here’s a quick update, from the teams themselves (in their own words), on how they did, and what’s next.

The Hult Prize is the largest start-up program in the world for early-stage social ventures, and once again, À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ student teams are advancing to regional competitions. Their challenge: build a scalable, sustainable social enterprise that harnesses the power of energy to transform the lives of 10 million people by 2025.
