Join Dr. Rodrigo Costa from Systems Design Engineering at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ and Dr. Jose Di Bella from À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ’s Climate Institute for a Climate and Disaster Risk Boot Camp.

In this half-day workshop, participants will be introduced to the basics of disaster and climate risk, climate risk assessment and catastrophe modeling, explore examples of research partnerships to develop new tools, solutions and capacity building, and share knowledge and network with colleagues.

Join Dr. Peter Crank from UÀ¶Ý®ÊÓƵ’s Climate Institute for an engaging Climate Science Boot Camp designed exclusively for graduate students and faculty who want to confidently teach climate change. This workshop covers climate science basics, myth debunking, and provides a safe space for questions. Connect with instructors from À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ, Laurier, and Conestoga to discuss student needs, explore climate change’s impact across disciplines, and address emotions like hope and despair in teaching. Afterward, network with peers at the Grad House for informal conversation and support.

Join the À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Climate Institute and GreenHouse for a walking social! Participants will learn about different gardens and food growing initiatives on campus while munching on some local snacks.

Join this Innovation Skills Workshop co-hosted by the À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Climate Institute Climate Leaders’ program and GreenHouse Changemaker Labs to address climate change. In small groups, participants will explore the design thinking principles and will ideate solutions and recommendations for campus climate action! GreenHouse staff and student innovators will facilitate this process, with concrete opportunities to launch ideas you might develop.

Join the À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Climate Institute for a panel discussion and interactive break-out session with different practitioners in the health system. Discussion will centre around how health practitioners can bring climate change into their health practices. Speakers include: Sharon Kirkpatrick, Warren Dodd, Myeengun Henry, Huda Nasir, Josalyn Radcliffe, and Aline De Souza. - On Campus - Wednesday, January 24th at 3:00PM to 4:30PM -
