馃摚 New in Jira: Anyone Can Now Submit Forms 鈥 No license Needed
Great news! Jira just made it easier to collect information from people outside your project or team.
You can now create public forms in Jira Software and Business projects 鈥 which means anyone (even those without Jira access) can submit a form. No login, no license required.
馃摑 What鈥檚 Changing?
-
Public forms are now available in Jira.
-
These forms can be shared with anyone 鈥 inside or outside your team.
-
People don鈥檛 need a Jira account to submit responses.
-
Great for collecting feedback, requests, or information from others 鈥 without extra setup.
馃懇鈥嶐煉 Who Can Create Public Forms?
Only project admins can create and share public forms.
Admins can use them in:
-
鉁 Team-managed projects
-
鉁 Company-managed projects
And this works for all Jira license levels.
馃攼 What About Access Control?
-
Jira admins can turn public forms on or off at the site level.
-
There鈥檚 a separate setting for each project type (team-managed vs. company-managed).
馃搶 One Important Note:
Anyone can submit a public form 鈥
But they鈥檒l need a Jira license to view or work on the issue that gets created.
