Solidago riddellii

Riddell's Goldenrod

Solidago riddellii Frank is native to wet prairies, oak savannahs and marshy ground in the midwestern states of the U.S. with disjunct populations in Manitoba, Minnesota, and much of the southern portion of the range. The species is distinguished by its leaves that are folded along the midrib (conduplicate) with (2–)3–8 prominent nerves at the base, its somewhat paniculiform with rounded-flat-topped inflorescences, and its multi-veined phyllaries ().  It might be confused with S. ohionensis, which has flat leaves with only one prominent vein. The species is diploid (2n=18).
