Thickstem Aster
Eurybia integrifolia (Nutt.) G.L. Nesom is native to drier meadows, open, moist woodlands, in sedge-willow, sagebrush, Douglas fir, and spruce communities in the mountains of in mountain ranges bordering the Basin and Range Province from Washington to Montana south to California, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming (). The species is distinguished by the following combination of traits: lanceolate basal leaves with entire margins, auriculate-clasping mid stem leaves, stipitate-glandular racemose-corymbiform arrays of heads with glandular phyllaries and showy violet-purple rays. The species is diploid (2n=18).
