Thistleleaf Aster
Eurybia eryngiifolia (Torr. & A. Gray) G.L. Nesom is native to low pine flatwoods, pine savannas, bogs, often on wet sand, on southern coastal plains of Panhandle Florida and adjacent Alabama and Georgia (). The species is distinguished by its solitary or few-headed inflorescence with large heads with 25–60, white (to pinkish) rays and 115–260 disc florets, and its distinctive serrate stem leaves. It blooms in late spring and earlier summer. The species is diploid (2n=18).
