
Jennifer Gillies, PhD, was appointed as the inaugural Associate Provost, Campus Support and Accessibility in March 2024. Previously, she served as the Director of AccessAbility Services and Executive Director of the Alzheimer Society À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ Wellington.Â
Jennifer brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in supporting the rights and quality of life of persons with disabilities and coordinating campus-wide services. Her extensive background as a University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ student, instructor, and staff member has given her a deep understanding of the challenges, opportunities, and supports needed to foster an inclusive and accessible campus.Â
Jennifer holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Recreation and Leisure Studies, a master's degree (M.A.), Critical Disability Studies, a master's degree (M.A.), Recreation and Leisure Studies, and an undergraduate degree (B.A.), Recreation and Leisure Studies. Â
Jennifer is eager to collaborate with students, faculty, and staff to build an even more accessible and inclusive future, further enhancing the campus experience for all community members.Â
