Sean Lally is the founder of WEATHERS/Sean Lally LLC, an internationally recognized design office. Recent projects include proposals for the Gdansk Museum of WWII, an extension to the Stockholm City Library, and a proposal for the urban redevelopment of Reykjavik, Iceland. His work and writings have appeared in a wide range of journals and publications includingÌý306090,ÌýHarvard Design Magazine,ÌýLandscape World,ÌýAzure, andÌýSurface. ÌýLally was a co-editor and contributor toÌýSoftspaceÌý(Routledge, 2007) and guest-editor ofÌýEnergies: New Material BoundariesÌý(2009). He is the author of ÌýThe Air on Other Planets: A Brief History to Come. Lally is the recipient of the 2012 Prince Charitable Trusts Rome Prize from the American Academy in Rome in Landscape Architecture and the winner of the 2012 Architectural League Prize for Young Architects and Designers Award. He is currently an assistant professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago School of Architecture.
