Congratulations to Daniel Abad, who received the RAICHonour Roll,ÌýARCC King Student Medal,Ìýand his thesis received commendation.

°Õ³ó±ðÌýRAIC Honour Roll is awarded to 4 students whose academic average is in the top 10% (MArch 2019).

Named in honor of the late Jonathan King, co-founder and first president of the Architectural Research Centers Consortium (ARCC), the ARCC King Student Medal award is based upon criteria that acknowledge innovation, integrity, and scholarship in architectural and/or environmental design research.

¶Ù²¹²Ô¾±±ð±ô'²õÌý³Ù³ó±ð²õ¾±²õÌýSix Empty Shells,ÌýContextualizing the Aspirations of Mexican Modernity through the Tlateloco Housing Complex, also received commendation.

Daniel Abad is a recent graduate from the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ School of Architecture master's program. Daniel's recent work investigates the housing urbanism and architecture produced by the Meican state in the mid 20th century, a period defined by national identity and social reform. He unravels the promises embodied in these projects and documents their subsequent betrayal. He is a founding co-editor of galt. publication and co-directed BRIDGE Centre for Architecutre+Design. He has practiced in architectural firms in Toronto, CDMX, Rome, Barcelona and Paris.Â
