Rey
FernándezÌýas
an
assistant
professor.ÌýDavid
completed
his
PhD
at
the
University
of
Toronto
Institute
for
Aerospace
Studies
and
was
a
research
scientist
at
NASA
Langley
Research
Center
and
the
National
Institute
of
Aerospace
before
joining
the
University
of
À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ.
His
research
areas
are
in
developing
robust
algorithms
for
the
numerical
solution
of
partial
differential
equations
with
an
emphasis
on
mathematically
rigorous
methods
on
complex
potentially
moving/deforming
geometry
and
approaches
for
improving
efficiency
on
high
performance
computing
systems
(e.g.,
mesh
adaptation,
machine
learning
for
acceleration).
