My name is Luane Lentz. I am Cree from Northern Ontario. I am also the À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Aboriginal Education Centre (WAEC) Coordinator.
My name is Wil Schmor, and I am in my second year at UÀ¶Ý®ÊÓƵ, studying Global Business and Digital Arts.
As both an alumnus and employee of UÀ¶Ý®ÊÓƵ, I have strong ties to this university and give back in a variety of ways.
As the new Programs Assistant on the Alumni Relations team, and a recent graduate from UW, I am filled with pride when I hear about the great ideas that are changing the world involving our Alumni…not that I'm biased or anything.
Research? Like a guinea pig? All my associations with being a part of research beforehand were lab rats and potential risk for developing a third eye, but I assure you that is not the case.Â
Coffee is the solution to many problems in university: all-nighters, difficult math problems, lack of term paper ideas, early classes, late classes, boring classes, and the list goes on… Â
What does it mean to be a À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ grad? To be a grad and a staff member here at À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ? To be a grad, staff, and the second generation in my family to graduate from À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ? It means I am three times lucky!
Wow what a year it has been! Our team has been keeping busy all year excitedly providing our valued alumni all the engagement opportunities we could think of.
It seems like I just started my co-op term with Alumni Relations, and already, it's over. The time has absolutely flown by - I could have sworn that yesterday was September.
It may have been the Peace and Conflicts Studies program offered at UÀ¶Ý®ÊÓƵ that brought me to this goose-infested campus to complete my undergraduate degree.
