TheÌýÀ¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ Engineering Endowment FoundationÌý(WEEF) is making a historical donation of $750,000Ìýto help improve student spaces across the Faculty of Engineering. This contribution is the latest in a long line of investments made by the student-led fund since its founding in 1989. As the fund has grown so has its ability to support a diverse range of causes from student projects to infrastructure improvements, all with the goal of providing world-class resources and experiences to current and future students. This legacy of institution building, driven by students for students, is reflected in the latest donation and the plans being drawn up for its use.

TEDxUW features alumni expertise

This fall, the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ TEDx Team brought back their after 5 years. The theme for this year’s conference was From the Ground Up, and it was all about inspiring the audience to forge their own unique paths, both personally and professionally. More than 180 attendees joined the event and seven speakers brought the theme to life with their fascinating stories, including fourÌýalumni.

On Thursday October 26, the Faculty of Health celebrated Organ Donation Awareness day with a pop-up eventÌýthat sharedÌýinspirational information for campus community members. The event was led by Alumni Council member and donor ambassador for the Trillium Gift of Life Network, Eric Celentano (BSc '79), in partnership with theÌýFaculty of Health.
