Student Support Drop-in CentreÌý

All students registered with AccessAbility Services are welcome to attend our online Student Support Drop-in Centre for support with learning strategies and assistive technology. The Student Support Drop-in Centre runs Monday - Friday from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. in theÌývirtual classroom on our LEARN Course.

AAS Mapping Out Your Term

Set your term up for success! Build a strong foundation for your term by learning to effectively create and manage your schedule, identify and track important dates, and set goals to keep track of your progress and increase accountability throughout the term.

In this workshop you will:

  • Chart personal and academic goals for the term using the SMART goals
  • Learn tips and tricks for reviewing your course syllabi to extract relevant information
  • Explore time management strategies and templates to create a personalized workflow for the term
  • Discover a range of apps and resources that will help you to manage your schedule and stay on track

AAS Mapping Out Your Assignments

Are you looking for support with planning out your assignments, including creating a schedule, breaking down large tasks into manageable chunks, and making prioritized to-do lists?

In this workshop you will:

  • Create a plan of action to complete your assignments and course deliverables
  • Discover a variety of methods to track your schedule and assignment completion
  • Learn how to break down and manage tasks with positive effect
  • Learn about strategies that create balance in your schedule and promote personal wellness

  • Discover apps to support scheduling and distraction management

AAS Strategies for Getting Back on Track

Did you fall behind in one or more courses this term? Take a deep breath, keep it simple and learn how to get back on track with success.

In this workshop you will:

  • Explore present-focused and continuous self-care strategies that may support your wellbeing
  • Identify course deliverables and course content that you need to complete
  • Learn how to assess and prioritize your workload in creating short-term goals to get back on track
  • Utilize your support network and explore other support resources

Adaptive Equipment Loan ProgramÌý

The following adaptive equipment is available for students to sign-out on a daily, weekly or term basis.Ìý It is loaned on a first come, first serve basis.Ìý For information about the equipment available for loan, contact your Accommodation Consultant.
