DRP Mentee Applications for Spring Ìý2025 are closed. Please note that the program now has two tiers: DRP-Reading and DRP-Research.

Note: Mentors/mentees may apply for DRP-Reading and DRP-Research, but may only participate in one project per term.

Prospective DRP-Research undergraduate student (mentees) applicants:

The program is open to current undergraduate students in their study terms, who identify as one or more of the following:

  • women

  • 2SLGBTQIA+

  • ±õ²Ô»å¾±²µ±ð²Ô´Ç³Ü²õÌý

  • µþ±ô²¹³¦°ìÌý

  • persons with a disability

  • first-generation university students

Typically, mentees accepted for the DRP-Research will have completed their 2A term. The DRP-Research mentee is required to meet with their mentor at least once every week and be actively engaged in the project.

Prospective DRP-Research graduate student/postdoc (mentors) applicants:

The program is open to current graduate students and postdocs of all genders in Math. Each team should have 1-2 mentors, who suggest an original research project suitable for undergraduates. At their discretion, the mentor(s) may also ask faculty to join their project, but the mentor(s) are in charge of the project. The mentor(s) decide on the number of mentees they wish to supervise, and meetings between mentors and mentees happen weekly.

Graduate students and postdocs admitted to the program and who lead their reading projects to completion will be awarded the Women in Mathematics Directed Research Program Mentorship (WiM DRP-Research) award, valued at $1000.
