Valerie has been a strong advocate for young women pursuing careers in engineering.She established the Ontario Network of WiE (ONWiE) and spearheaded Go Eng Girl which has been around for more than 15 years. ValerieÌýalso had a non-traditional career path as a food scientist, lecturer andÌýengineering professor in the School of Engineering at the University of Guelph for 23 years. The event for Valerie will take place on June 18th between 10:30 AM -11:30 AM in the Engineering 7 Building, Outreach Classrooms (Room 1331 on the 1st Floor).
