All WCMS 3 sites will soon be upgraded to WCMS 3.2.30.
These release notes are subject to change without notice.
Release notes
Features/functionality
- changed all naming of "publication references" or "publications" to be "references" in preparation for the publication theme functionality from WCMS 2 taking over that namespace
- the reference listing page is now located at "/references", and the menu item has been renamed to "References"
- all references using "/publications" URLs have been automatically changed to "/references" URLs (anyone visiting the old URLs will automatically be redirected as long as nothing else is published at the original "/publications" URL, and the remainder of the URL remains unchanged)
- search blocks that used the default title have been updated to use the new name; any edited titles were not changed (site maintainers may wish to review if the titles are still appropriate)
- non-references content titled (or including in the title) "Publications" were not renamed; site maintainers may wish to review if these pages should be renamed, and if redirects should be created
- non-references content using "/publications" or "/references" URLs were not changed; site maintainers may wish to review if these pages should be moved to a different URL and if a redirect should be created
- the header "Selected/Recent Publications" for OFIS profiles was not changed
- made nested taxonomy terms (tags) display their parent->child relationship when displaying content, instead of as separate, seemingly-unrelated tags
Fixes/updates
- made "show contact title" setting for manual contact listing blocks work properly when unchecked, and added the functionality to automatic contact list blocks
- fixed an issue preventing automatic listing blocks from respecting the item limit when supported content types used the "global arrangement" sort option
- made the Editoria11y accessibility checker check within sidebars
- prevented sidebar content attached to pages containing characters that require HTML-encoding from using the encoding instead of the actual character in the sidebar content title
- fixed an issue preventing the sort filter on the references listing page from getting the proper appearance
- enabled all sites to accept emergency notifications (though they are not being sent to all sites at this time)
- fixed some warning messages that were getting logged during site installs
- updated some contrib modules
Theming changes
- fixed a regression where automatic and manual listing blocks for profiles were not displaying the proper styling, so they now appear in the proper multi-column style at wider widths
- adjusted the content list table in the dashboard so it removes less essential columns sooner as the page gets narrower, preventing many cases where the table would extend outside the column; for cases where it still does not fit, the table now truncates at the column width but can be scrolled left/right to view all information
- changed how the theme is stored in our repo
