During my Nanotechnology Engineering undergraduate program, I held co-op positions at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ and Sunnybrook Research Institute. Through these experiences I gained a passion for developing medical devices and biosensors. Now I am building upon these passions as a PhD student in the À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Microfluidics Lab. My main projects include topics like electrophoresis, microwave sensing, and droplet microfluidics. The ultimate goal of my research is to develop an automated high-throughput screening platform for drug discovery that significantly reduces reagent consumption and analysis time when compared to traditional microwell plates. I am also very interested in Kitchener-À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ’s growing start-up community, and welcome opportunities to share my knowledge and expertise.
