As part of the Water Institute's WaterTalks lecture series Maria Carmen Lemos, Professor and Associate Dean for Research and Engagement at the School for Environment and Sustainability and Co-Director of the Great Lakes Sciences and Assessments Center at the University of Michigan, will present, "Building adaptive capacity for water management--the role of knowledge and power."

As part of the Water Institute's WaterTalks lecture series, Hamid Moradkhani, Alton N. Scott Endowed Chair in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Alabama, will present, "Toward More Resilient Hydrosystems: Flood and Drought Hazards, Vulnerability and Risk in a Changing Climate."

As part of the Water Institute's WaterTalks lecture series Professor Helen Jarvie, Principal Scientist of Hydrochemistry at in the United Kingdom, will deliver a lecture on river-system biogeochemistry with particular emphasis on nutrient cycling and water quality, from watershed to global perspectives.

As part of the Water Institute's WaterTalks lecture series Martyn Futter, Associate Professor in Landscape Scale Water Quality Modelling at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Uppsala, Sweden, will present "Signals, Cycles, Circles and Surprises: Some reflections on water quality in the Anthropocene."

Geographies of Health in Place (GoHelP) lab, is pleased to invite you to engage with Dr. Buba Manjang, a Visiting Postdoctoral Researcher, who will be speaking about his research addressing hygiene among mothers' weaning children.

As part of the Water Institute's WaterTalks lecture series Professor Lesley Warren, Claudette Mackay-Lassonde Chair in Mineral Engineering at the University of Toronto, will present "Mining waste environments: globally significant and growing biogeochemical hotspots"

As part of the Water Institute's WaterTalks lecture series Jeanne M. VanBriesen, Duquesne Light Company Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Engineering and Public Policy at Carnegie Mellon University and the Director of the Center for Water Quality in Urban Environmental Systems at Carnegie Mellon University will present "Effects of wastewater from energy extraction and utilization on drinking water sources and risk."

As part of the Water Institute's WaterTalks lecture series Professor Grant Ferguson, Associate Professor in the Department of Civil, Geological and Environment Engineering and Associate Member of the School of Environment and Sustainability at the University of Saskatchewan, will present "The Race for Groundwater."
