Welcome to Innovation and Excellence in Data Analytics!

The School of Accounting and Finance (SAF) at the University of ��ݮ��Ƶ, in collaboration with the UWCISA and ISACA’s Toronto Chapter, invites you to the fourth Annual Interactive Business Dashboard Competition. This event showcases our commitment to being at the forefront of technology and innovation in education.

Date & Time: December 15th, 10:30-11:15 AM - Zoom Event registration

Empowering First-Year Students:

This competition is a platform for our first-year SAF students to demonstrate their exceptional skills in data analytics. It aligns perfectly with our course AFM 112, where students learn to balance traditional finance and accounting knowledge with cutting-edge data analytics tools.

Competition Structure:

Initial Phase: Approximately 70 teams of our first-year students embark on this challenging journey.
Second Round: The competition intensifies as we narrow to the top 25 teams.
Final Round: The top 3 teams will present their innovative dashboards to a panel of distinguished industry and academic experts on December 15th.

Why It’s Special:

What sets this competition apart is its focus on facility with multiple tools. Our students use R for in-depth data analysis and spreadsheets for creating interactive dashboards, preparing them for the demands of the financial industry.

Prizes and Recognition:

The winning team will be awarded a $1,000 prize, sponsored by ISACA’s Toronto Chapter to recognize their hard work and innovative approach to data analytics.

This year 10 teams selected from AFM 112 will be invited to compete. They have had one week to update their dashboards and will present to a panel of SAF Faculty and financial professionals.
