Gillian is a PhD candidate at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ, with both a BA (2021) and MA (2023) in history from the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ. Working under the co-supervision of Profs. Steven Bednarski and Geoffrey Hayes, and in association with the at St. Jerome’s University, Gillian’s work will focus on the power dynamics and networks of connection among civilian prisoners and members of the Veterans Guard of Canada within Canadian internment camps of the Second World War
