Do bottles thrown in the wrong bin make you itch? Are you always encouraging co-workers to print double-sided? If so, join the Green Office consultation to ensure these and more sustainable changes will be implemented across campus.

At this second consultation session, attendees will work with the University of ��ݮ��Ƶ sustainability coordinator to develop a framework for campus departments to evaluate and improve their environmental performance.

The session will include:

A brief recap of the previous consultation on October 20th.
A series of guided input questions to fine-tune a framework and determine what tools, resources, and training is necessary for participants.

All group participants will be encouraged to facilitate their own department joining the program pilot in January 2016. Please register.

Remember to attend the first consultation session too!

Are you interested in seeing sustainable changes happen on campus? Do you want to be a part of the change? If so, please attend this consultation session on the launch of a new Green Office program at University of ��ݮ��Ƶ.

A Green Office program is designed to empower individuals and departments to enact meaningful changes in their own areas.

Hosted by the University of ��ݮ��Ƶ's sustainability coordinator, this first of two sessions will focus on the big picture of the program through the following:

Brief presentation on how similar programs have operated at other universities
Input session about how the program may operate within the University of ��ݮ��Ƶ, answering key questions to fit ��ݮ��Ƶ's unique context

Any university staff and faculty are encouraged to register, and to act as champions for their own departments. Attendees will be encouraged to register and participate in the follow-up session on November 4th.

Snacks and fair trade coffee will be provided.

Eco-Summit

The University of ��ݮ��Ƶ, in collaboration with Sustainable Campus Initiative, is excited to host the second annual Eco-Summit.

This half-day summit will give participants the opportunity to learn more about environmental sustainability progress on campus, hear from groups who are implementing programs and initiatives, and encourage input into ��ݮ��Ƶ’s future campus efforts. As the President’s Advisory Committee on Sustainability explores a sustainability policy and other guiding documents, your input will be an important part of the process to inform an ambitious but realistic approach. The summit will bring together key staff, student, and faculty stakeholders to learn, network, and brainstorm.

Session Summary

Info Hour

Learn from the University of ��ݮ��Ƶ’s sustainability coordinator about the progress we have made as a university, and different ways to think about campus environmental sustainability. Guest speakers will also share case studies on operations, student involvement, and research.

Networking Hour

Grab a bite to eat and mix and mingle with the different groups around campus.

Input Hour

This session will have attendees break into small groups and brainstorm answers to facilitated questions about campus sustainability. It will encourage discussion on opportunities and future involvement.
