An award, valued at $3,000, will be provided annually to a full-time Black or Indigenous undergraduate student enrolled in Year Two, Three, or Four of the PharmD program in the School of Pharmacy. For the purpose of this award, Black students may include African, Caribbean, Black Canadian, Afro-Latine, African American, or other African descent. For the purpose of this award, an Indigenous person is one who is a citizen or member of a First Nations community (Status/Non-Status), Métis or Inuit. Selection will be based on academic excellence (minimum 75% cumulative average) and demonstrated exemplification of Rexall’s iCARE values of integrity, accountability, respect and excellence through volunteer involvement in the community. Preference will be given to candidates who best demonstrate the impact this award will have on their ability to pursue excellence in the classroom and community. Interested students should submit an on-line application by May 1. This fund is made possible by a donation from Rexall Canada.
