A scholarship, valued at $2,000, is awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in Year Two, Three, or Four in the Department of Political Science in the Faculty of Arts. Selection will be made on the basis of academic excellence (minimum 80% cumulative average) with preference given to Conrad Grebel University College students and/or residents. This fund is made possible by a donation from Dr. Mark Schaan '02 (Political Science) in honour of his Mother, Marlies Loewen Schaan, who helped finance his education.

The University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
