Several awards, valued at up to $2,500 each, will be awarded annually to students registered full time in an undergraduate program in any Faculty, excluding the Faculty of Engineering. Students must be in good academic standing and participating in an approved, for credit, international experience in Germany or Austria which may include study abroad, exchange, summer or short-term programs, or low-paying co-op/internship terms. Preference will be given to candidates who have taken a German language or culture course. Upon their return, recipients will be encouraged to provide a summary (1-2 page maximum) of their experience abroad to be shared with the donor. Candidates must complete the general International Experience Award application form by March 15, July 15 or November 15. This award was made possible through the generosity of University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ Arts alumna Dr. Marga I. Weigel (BA ’71, MA ’73 and PhD ’80 with a major in German literature).

Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
