An award, valued at up to $5,000, will be provided annually to a full-time undergraduate student who identifies as a woman entering Year Two of any program in the Faculty of Mathematics wherein women are underrepresented. Selection is based on academic excellence (minimum 80% cumulative average) and financial need. Preference will be given to students who participated in volunteer or community activities in Year One. Interested students should submit the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Full-Time Bursary application by the fall term bursary deadline. This fund is made possible by a donation from the late Cecilia Downing Linton. Cecilia felt strongly about encouraging women to pursue careers in mathematics and computer science.

The University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
