A scholarship, valued at up to $2,000, will be awarded annually to a graduating undergraduate student in the Department of Chemistry in the Faculty of Science. Selection is based on academic achievement (minimum 80% cumulative average) combined with a commitment to undergraduate research or teaching assistantships. An application is not required. This fund has been made possible by family and friends of Carey Bissonnette, a dedicated colleague, lecturer, academic advisor and teaching fellow at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ where he devoted himself for over 24 years.

The University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg, and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is co-ordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations.
