PhD Candidate
Dane Labonte is a PhD candidate in the School of Environment, Resources and Sustainability at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ. His research examines the social and institutional factors that impact socio-technical system transitions, with a focus on the diffusion of smart-grid technologies in the electricity sector. In relation to the , Dane is exploring the perceptions energy storage technologies and the future potential for these technologies at the distribution-level of electricity systems. This research has involved interviewing executives from local distribution companies across Ontario.
