  What Were You\nWearing? art installation. What Were You Wearing? is an ar
 t exhibit\nbased on student-survivor descriptions of the clothes they were
 \nwearing when they were sexually assaulted. Sexual assault survivors\nare
  often asked\, “what were you wearing?”\, implying that what\nsomeone 
 wears can cause a sexual assault.\n\nTHIS MYTH ABOUT SEXUAL VIOLENCE IS US
 ED TO BLAME SURVIVORS AND JUSTIFY\nTHE ACTIONS OF THOSE WHO CAUSE HARM. SU
 RVIVORS ARE NEVER TO BLAME FOR\nTHEIR EXPERIENCE(S) OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE. WE
  ALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO WEAR\nWHAT WE WANT. \n\nThe “What Were You Weari
 ng?” Survivor Art Installation originated\nat the University of Arkansas
  in 2013. Created by Jen Brockman and Dr.\nMary Wyandt-Hiebert\, the proje
 ct was inspired by Dr. Mary\nSimmerling’s poem\, What I Was Wearing. Ore
 gon State University\ninterpreted and recreated a virtual exhibit.\n\nThis
  semester\, the SVPRO in partnership with SASC is recreating the\nexhibit 
 to highlight the pervasiveness of victim-blaming and the harm\nand trauma
