Research Interests
Heather joined the team in January 2022 managing the SARS-CoV2 wastewater surveillance project in the Servos lab until October 2023. She was responsible for supervising the co-op students and technicians that conduct the influent sample processing, analysis, and quantification of SARS-CoV2. She also contributed to the data analysis and communication of the results to the regional health units (Region of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ, Peel, and York).
She graduated from her PhD studying fish stress and its impact on microRNA (supervised by Dr. Paul Craig and Dr. Barb Katzenback; University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ) and hopes to continue in the study of the environmental impacts on the molecular and physiological processes of organisms.Â
