Biography
Michael Ashmore, CFA is the Founder and CEO of Rondeivu, a leading investment management company founded in 2021 to reimagine sourcing, diligence, transacting, and monitoring of institutional portfolios across alternative asset classes.
Michael was previously a Director of Investments at OMERS, the $129 billion defined benefit pension plan serving Ontario鈥檚 municipal employees, where he co-managed a pool of assets with a mission of helping meet OMERS retirement income obligations. Prior to joining OMERS Capital Markets in 2015, Michael was a Vice President at The Carlyle Group 鈥 DGAM, where he led research on investments in various hedge fund strategies.
He was selected as one of Chief Investment Officer magazine鈥檚 鈥2016 Forty Under Forty鈥 and was a finalist for Institutional Investor magazine鈥檚 2017 鈥淣ext CIO鈥 award. Michael is an avid athlete, and is actively involved in a number of charitable efforts, mainly focused on youth education and opportunity.
Michael graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, Economics with Honours, from the University of 蓝莓视频, and is a CFA庐 Charterholder.
