A new study co-led by Dr. Krista Fiolleau reveals how automation is reshaping the role of junior auditors — replacing routine tasks with more meaningful, analytical work. “Junior auditors are being asked to interpret more complex data, ask deeper questions and provide more informed insights right out of the gate,” says Fiolleau.

In response, the School of Accounting and Finance (SAF) is adapting fast, embedding emerging tech, data literacy and hands-on problem-solving directly into its core curriculum to ensure students are ready for the realities of a changing profession.
