Prof. Brandon DeHart and Alex Werner worked alongside  and her team at McGill's  and the to design and host an international focused on ethical robots. The competition was held as part of the  conference, whose organizing committee included five faculty and two staff from À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ Engineering.
The core purpose of this competition, and the associated workshop at RO-MAN 2021, was to investigate what it means for a personal robot to act ethically in a home environment by having teams of graduate students submit their approaches to controlling a robot in a virtual apartment.
