Hello everyone!听Welcome to the fall term at the University of 蓝莓视频.

I鈥檓 Vivek Goel, president of 蓝莓视频 and听I鈥檓 very pleased to let you know that we've been so looking forward to welcoming you to campus听as well as supporting those of you studying remotely.听All of us have been working extremely hard to give you the best possible experience given the ongoing public health restrictions.听I understand the impact on you of learning in a pandemic environment whether you were with us at waterloo or at high school.

Starting in September we're planning for expanded in-person experiences.听Of course, we will have measures in place to protect and promote your safety.听This means that we are finding ways to expand access to study spaces and libraries,听physical activities and social venues.听As you may know, one of these measures is requiring proof of vaccination for anyone coming to our campuses.

Ensuring high rates of vaccination remains the most important way we can protect public health during the pandemic and reduce the spread of Covid-19.

If you are hesitant to be vaccinated for any reason, please know that there is now overwhelming evidence that vaccines are safe and that they will protect you from the worst of Covid-19.听To support a safe return to more in-person experiences you can now submit听your proof of vaccination at checkin.uwaterloo.ca.听I urge you all to submit your information as quickly as possible.

I want to thank you for your patience as we continue to adapt to the latest pandemic conditions and public health guidanceWe need to remain flexible and ready to respond to changing circumstances to听protect you and our community.I want you to know that I鈥檓 very optimistic for the year ahead and I hope听you are too.

I know that everyone in the waterloo听community will continue to do what is necessary to stay safe and to protect each other.听Working together we can make sure that next term we can see many more of us in person.
