Symposium on Aging Research (SoAR) 2025

SoAR 2025 is happening soon!

SoAR 2025 will take place on April 29th, from 9 AM to 5 PM, in room 1689 of the Health Expansion building (EXP). Drivers, please park in lots X or N. Accessible parking is available in lot M.

Pre-registration is required for all presenters.

Poster presenters, please arrive early to allow sufficient time to set up your posters before opening remarks!

Keynote speaker: Dr. Soo Chan Carusone

Soo Chan Carusone will present alongside from the McMaster Collaborative for Health and Aging. Donna, Mike, Penelope and Subhash will share their wisdom, experience, and expertise: as older adults, as health care consumers, partners in research, and incredible humans. Soo Chan Carusone completed her PhD in health research methods and then spent 10 years doing research at an HIV hospital where she learned from “experts by experience” to reimagine health and health research. 

Together, at the , the team champions aging research that centers the voices of people with lived experience and build capacity for aging research to be conducted in partnership with older adults.
