The Fair will be returning to an in-person event this year at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. This year’s event is a shortened one taking place over two days, October 1 and 2 from 9:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. each day.

Auditions for seven different Music Ensembles will start the first week of classes. Ensembles include the Chamber Choir, Chapel Choir, Vocal Techniques (online), Balinese Gamelan, Instrumental Chamber Ensembles, Jazz Ensemble, and Orchestra. Open to students from all Faculties for credit or as an extra-curricular activity. See Ensemble webpage for details. Email Music if you have any questions.

Join us for a University of ��ݮ��Ƶ Balinese Gamelan Ensemble mini-concert and demonstration on Friday, September 6th at noon. The Peter Russell Rock Garden is a lovely place to enjoy even a few minutes of music. Stay after the concert and try a few instruments yourself.

This event is weather dependent. Please check the website the day of the concert.

Spring 2019 Ensemble auditions are open for registration.

In Spring term we offer the Balinese Gamelan, Instrumental Chamber groups, orchestra@uwaterloo, and the University Choir.
The orchestra needs 2 flutes, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets, & 2 bassoons
4 horns, 2 trumpets, 3 trombones, and a tuba
Timpani, percussion, harp, and strings.

The University of ��ݮ��Ƶ Department of Music at Conrad Grebel University College invites all students, faculty, staff, and community members to join most of the eight ensembles that it sponsors and organizes.

Instrumental: Instrumental Chamber Ensemble; Jazz Ensemble; Orchestra; World Music Ensemble (Balinese Gamelan)

Choral: Chapel Choir; Chamber Choir; University Choir; Vocal Techniques.

Ensemble participation can be taken for credit, or as an extracurricular activity.

David Gueulette, President of the Ontario Music Educators’ Association, will be at Conrad Grebel to make a presentation about the OMEA and to answer your questions about a career in music teaching in the schools. This is a great opportunity to have your questions answered and to make a connection with the OMEA.

We will meet in Rm. 2201 (the Paetkau Seminar Room, near the main entrance of the College). Feel free to bring your lunch. All welcome: current and recent music grads.
