Noon Hour Concert: Earth Voices

This earth-themed concert features Earth Voices,Ìýa performanceÌýpiece by Carol Ann Weaver for readers, soundscape, and visuals, with texts by 24 Mennonite writers fromÌýNorth and SouthÌýAmerica, Middle East, and Africa. ÌýThe soundscape is based on Carol's compositions, on-site field recordings, andÌývisuals, which frame and synergize withÌýthe spoken word. ÌýThis piece seeks to find voices which can lead usÌýintoÌýa deeper knowledge of the earth and our relationship to it.

Sing Fires of Justice Public Festival of Song and Word - 10th Anniversary

This concert will includeÌýboth the UW Chamber Choir directed by Dr. Mark Vuorinen, and the University Choir directed by Dr. Gerard Yun. ÌýOther featured choirs are the Maureen Forrester Singers, Laurier Singers and Concert Choir, as well as the Good Hearted Women Singers.

Canadian soprano Leslie Fagan is a regular at Carnegie Hall, and well known to local audiences. ÌýShe and pianist LorinÌýShalanko will be performing together.
