Saxophonist extraordinaire Mary Petrich from Phoenix, Arizona is joining local bassist Greg Prior,and vocalist Mary-Catherine McNinch Pazzano with pianist/composer Carol Ann Weaver. The concert will serve as a tribute to Nicholas Elliot-Friesen (1991-2012) including "The Leaving", composed by Carol Ann for her nephew. ÌýOther original compositions by Petrich and Weaver, as well as jazz improvisations will be played.ÌýMary CatherineÌýis a UW Music Graduate.Ìý

This Brass Quintet includes local musicians Trevor Wagler (French horn), Carolyn Culp (trombone), Susan Follows (bass trombone), and trumpeters Debra and Martin Lacoste.Ìý Composers featured include a wide selection of pieces, J.S. Bach to Scott Joplin.
