Biographical sketch: Joseph S. Weber (1861-1949) was born in À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ Township and died near Didsbury, Alberta. He is buried at Erb Street Mennonite Church cemetery in À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ. He was married first to Mary Ann Shantz (1864-1899) with whom he had 11 childrenÌý and then to Hannah Shantz (1866-1925) with whom he had four children. He then married Barbara (Rudy Sauder) Ernst (1876-1931) and ElizabethÌý (Schmitt) Wambold (1868-1962). No children were born of his third and fourth marriages.ÌýÌý
Weber farmed and was the chorister at the Erb Street Mennonite Church for over forty years. He moved to Alberta to marry his fourth wife, Elizabeth Wambold. There he was chorister at Fairview Mennonite Church at Carstairs.ÌýÌý
The descendants of Joseph Weber, Mary Ann Shantz and Hannah Shantz held family reunions every three years between 1962 and 2007.ÌýÌýÌý
