 e retail industry.\nTheir building involves the solution of a three-dimens
 ional packing\nproblem with side practical constraints such as item suppor
 t and\npallet stability\, leading to what is known as the mixed-case\npall
 etization problem. Motivated by the fact that solving\nindustry-size insta
 nces is still very challenging for current methods\,\nwe propose a new sol
 ution methodology that combines data analysis at\nthe instance level and o
 ptimization to build pallets.\n
