Prospect of the 25th of October One of the main streets of Leningrad – The Old fashionable street where the old aristocracy used to parade on frequent sunny afternoons – but now renamed as above in commemoration of the 2nd revolution on Oct 25, 1917 when the Bolsheviks overthrew the moderate Krensky socialist government.

Church of the Resurrection Leningrad Byzantine Architecture – Similar to famous old St. Basil on the Red Square in Moscow. Pineapple & pear shaped domes are highly coloured glazed tile – bright blue, yellow, white & gold. The exterior walls are really inlaid with mosaic Art! This church is closed.
