This workshop is a primer for working with computational hydrology software and, as such, assumes a good grounding in most GIS concepts of spatial and raster analysis. The tutorial is designed to get you comfortable with HEC RAS's specific requirements for creating a dynamic flood simulation.

By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:

• Gain some fundamental insight into HEC RAS and computational hydrology
• Understand the basic requirements for creating a flood simulation
• Create boundaries and flows to contain the simulation
• Finally, run a simulated flood animation!
