EMG Muscle Car

Learn about how we measure muscle activity and observe a fun demonstration where we use our own muscle activity to remotely steer a toy vehicle - our Muscle Car!Ìý

ResearchLive!Ìý

Dr. Niechwiej-Szwedo and her team will be studying the importance of binocular vision (i.e. being able to see well with both eyes) in the development of hand-eye coordination. This work will help develop enhanced assessment tools for children with impaired vision and potential new rehabilitation approaches.Ìý

Dr. Barnett-Cowan's team will explore whether greater comfort in experiencing virtual reality is related to better balance control. Since people experience virtual reality differently from each other, they will also assess whether these differences can be explained by genetics.
