University partnerships make important contributions to advancing the United Nations . This was the main message of a global webinar hosted by the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ on March 2, 2021.

À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ International welcomes the return of Ian Rowlands, PhD, associate vice-president, International.

Dr. Rowlands’ scholarly activities during his 2020 sabbatical focused on energy sustainability and internationalization in higher education; for the latter part of this work, he had an affiliation with the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) as a Special Advisor.

The University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ and the University of Strathclyde are jointly hosting a virtual research colloquium, expected to provide an interactive space for graduate students from the participating universities to present their research and receive constructive feedback from international scholars in their respective fields.

International Week 2020 is a collaborative effort, organized by a wide array of departments, units and student groups at the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ, with coordination by À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ International. We hope you were able to attend some of the events, learn from these experiences or share some of your activities with others and that you enjoyed participating in these events!

Thanks to everyone who has participated in International Week 2020 (IW) so far this week. To date, numerous campus partners from across the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ have hosted events that highlight the value of multilingualism and intercultural understanding in today’s globalized world and there are many more events planned for the rest of the week.

Today is the first day of International Week 2020. International Week is a great opportunity to recognize and promote the value of international and intercultural experiences, collaboration abroad and the importance of internationalization on campus. 

Representatives from À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ International, and other campus partners, attended the annual International Women’s Day Dinner, hosted by the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓÆµ, to acknowledge the important role women play in society. Dean of Applied Health Sciences, Lili Liu was the distinguished guest speaker.
