The China University of Petroleum Beijing visited The University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ campus on Monday, November 26, 2018 to meet with the Faculty of Science to review the existing 2+2 undergrad program, sign the MOU and discuss a detailed work plan to enlarge future recruitment numbers of students from CUPB.

Delegates from Sichuan University in Chengdu, China, visited the university on Friday, November 16, 2018 to meet with UW leadership and faculties, gain mutual understanding and seek potential academic and research cooperation in fields like Liberal Arts, Math and Computer Science, Science and Engineering.

On November 13th and 14th, we hosted top Japanese University leaders for the "2018 Training Program for Top Management of University," funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Japan. The focus of their two-day agenda was to gain insight into university management and learn about co-operative education, entrepreneurship, technology transfer and commercialization, and international research.

Led by the Ministry of Education China, Chinese University Leaders visited the University for a two-day visit on Monday, November 5 and Tuesday, November 6, 2018.  The goal of the visit was to gain insight on university management and operations, especially in the areas of Co-operative education, Campus wellness, Teaching excellence and professional development, International and Industrial research, and Student innovation & entrepreneurship.

On Monday, October 29th 2018, delegates from British High Commission in Canada & British Consulate-General in Toronto visited the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ to discuss ongoing collaborations.

Delegates from the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) vistied the University on Monday, October 29, 2018 to strengthen the existing partnership, explore student exchange and research potential in Life Science and Engineering; and to learn more about student innovation and entrepreneurship in UW.

His Excellency, Mr. Vikas Swarup, High Commissioner for India to Canada visited campus on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 to meet with University President and Vice-Chancellor, Feridun Hamdullahpur and to present this talk entitled "New India."  The presentation was well attended by members of the University community and we thank His Excellency for sharing his insights and comments on the recent transformations happening in India.

Delegates visited from University of Tsukuba in Japan on Monday October 22, 2018 to explore the possibility of a Campus-in-Campus (CIC) initiative between University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ and University of Tsukuba, especially in joint research, faculty, student and staff mobility.

We welcomed the Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT) in South Africa to campus on Wednesday, October 17 and Thursday, October 18.  The MUT delegates were here to understand Work-Integrated Learning and student employability at UW, and discuss student entrepreneurship.

On Monday, October 1, 2018, the Vice President of Research at Tsinghua University in China, ²Ï¾±-°ì³Ü²ÔÌý³Ý³Ü±ð visited the University of À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ.  He also presemted a public lecture on Transformative Quantum Technologies entitled "Physics Beyond Ohm's Law." The objective of the delegation visit was to discuss collaborations on quantum sciences and quantum technology.
