We’re proud to spotlight a groundbreaking research milestone led by À¶Ý®ÊÓƵ researchers Dr. Veronika Magdanz (WIN Member), Dr. Alfred Yu (WIN Member), and Dr. Behrad Khamesee. Their team has developed soft, magnetically guided robots capable of delivering targeted enzyme therapy directly to kidney stones, offering a minimally invasive and rapid relief alternative to conventional treatments.
This innovation exemplifies the core values of WIN in interdisciplinary collaboration across nanotechnology, biomedical engineering, and systems design, global partnerships, with research teams from Spain and Germany contributing to this success, and transformative impact through providing new hope for patients through precision-targeted, non-invasive therapies
At WIN, we believe the future of healthcare lies in cross-border, cross-discipline synergy and this project is a shining example of that vision in action.
