My main research interest is focused on impact injury biomechanics. This includes: 

• Understanding the underlying mechanics of impact-related bone fractures and fall-related head injuries  
• Investigating the use of interventions, such as body padding and helmet, to prevent impact-related injuries  
• Exploring properties of the soft tissues overlying the hip and bony pelvis that will improve mathematical and mechanical models of sideways falls onto the hip
