Dr. Pamela Palmater to be a 2021 Jarislowsky FellowÌýÌý

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. Pamela D. Palmater as a Jarislowsky Fellow for the 2021 ARTS 490 seminar focused on the global pandemic. Dr. Palmater will deliver a guest lecture to our students and provide mentorship as they develop their final projects for the end-of-term Global Engagement Summit event.ÌýÌý

 is a Mi’kmaw citizen and member of the Eel River Bar First Nation in northern New Brunswick. She has been a practicing lawyer for 22 years and is currently a full Professor and Chair in Indigenous Governance at Ryerson University. Pam was one of the spokespeople, educators and organizers for the Idle No More Movement. She appears frequently as a political commentator on Ìý±õ²Ô¹ó´Ç³¦³Ü²õ,Ìý, and . She continues to advocate for Indigenous issues and missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls. ÌýÌý
